Make Your Novation LaunchPad Light Up!
The Novation Launchpad is a great midi controller that glows in many different colors and can be used for many different jobs. I like to use the 64 light-up pads to trigger samples and play instruments. With some simple midi routing, you can get your Lauchpad to light up whenever midi messages are sent to it. In this Quick Ableton Tutorial I will show you how to get them to light up when you play the pads, when a instrument plays, and to function as a visual metronome. With the concepts discussed here, you can have all sorts of fun with your LaunchPad and even do special effect light shows with some well-planned midi programming.
