2 Minute Ableton Live Tip #14: Sidechaining the Auto Filter

Ableton Live's Auto Filter Sidechained = Dancing Freqs!

In the next part of our discussion of sidechaining in Ableton Live, we focus on the Auto Filter.   The Auto Filter is such a cool device because of how it reacts and adds movement to tracks.  You can use the built-in LFO to have a rhythmic or tempo synced movement, and the envelope section causes the Auto Filter's frequency to react to the input signal or another signal by using the side chain function.  Check out the video below as I demonstrate how to set it up and put it to practical use.
