It's Official: I am Certifiable!

AfroDJMac is Now an Ableton Certified Trainer

In November, I was lucky enough to be amongst five Ableton Live ninjas who traveled to Los Angeles (man is California beautiful!) to participate in the Ableton Certification Event.  It was a grueling two-day schedule of presentations, critiques, sharing tips, learning, and hanging out.  I learned more about Live, music production and teaching than I ever imagined I would.  Seriously, the knowledge I gained about teaching was greater than a lot of what I learned taking graduate level courses in college on the subject.  I write to you now as an officially certified Ableton Live Trainer.

Along for the journey were newly Certified Trainers Alec Ness, Isaac Cotec, Paul Laski, and Wyatt Meagher.  All four are extremely talented musicians and teachers, as well as fun and interesting people.  I took a lot of notes and gained valuable information from each of them. The folks at the Los Angeles Ableton office were down to earth, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgable.  They offered us all an amazing wealth of knowledge, tips and advice.  I really got a lot out the experience and I look forward to sharing that with all of you!  Be sure to stay tuned, there are a lot of cool things in the works :)
