A Journey Inward (2020) Apple MusicSpotifyGoogle Play

A unified piece of music, divided into four sections, intended for meditation, yoga, and sleeping. A Journey Inward is meant to be felt as much as heard. All sounds were made with Teenage Engineering’s OP-1 and a selection of natural field recordings. Listen to the story of the EP on the Music Production Podcast.

Passings (2019) Apple Music - Spotify - Google Play

Passings is a collection of 4 hardware analog synthesizer jams, each song chronicling our passings through stages and emotions in our lives, representing the changes between holding on, letting go, and resisting.

Country Punkin’ (2017) Apple Music - Spotify

Country Punkin is a collection of 4 to-the-point no-nonsense songs, inspired lyrically by country music and musically by punk rock. There are no intros, outros, interludes, solos, or instrumentals. Every song begins right away with only the core meat-and-potatoes parts of the song. Recorded entirely on the Teenage Engineering OP-1's four track, using a Shure SM57 plugged straight into it. Hear the behind the scenes of this EP on the Music Production Podcast.

OP-1 Tracks (2011-2018)

A collection of songs I recorded to the Teenage Engineering OP-1, often using its internal microphone or by connecting one to it. These tracks are connected mostly in style and spirit, rather than time.

Cassette Tape Prophets EP (2017)

These tracks were made to demonstrate the sounds of my Cassette Tape Prophets Ableton Live Pack. They immediately came to life and became a small journey through a futuristic dystopian universe.

Acoustic Cafe (Live Performances) (2014, 2016)

Two live performances with my friend, SuperKid 3D (aka Alex).

Super 8 Cartridge.jpg

Super 8-Bit EP (2014)

All sounds on this EP were made with samples of the Nintendo Entertainment System, using my Super 8-Bit Ableton Live Pack. The idea behind the tracks was to imagine a video game sound engine with limited sound producing capabilities, like the 8-bit NES, but with more modern effects and higher track counts. This is essentially the concept behind the Ableton Live Pack as well. And while these tracks were originally intended to showcase the sounds of the Pack, they grew into their own along the way.

Windchime Ambience EP (2012)

This album was created entirely with samples from a set of hand crafted and tuned wind chimes, pictured in the album art. The samples were brought into Ableton Live and built into playable instruments. Every sound heard originated from the samples of the wind chimes themselves.

The Ableton Live instruments and the Ableton Live projects used to create this album are available at  bit.ly/windchimesynth.

"Cowboys and Synthesizers EP" (2011) Apple Music - Spotify

"Forest Far" (2007) Apple Music - Spotify

A concept album about traveling to a special place called Forest Far, that is located somewhere outside of all of your worries and fears.  This album dabbles in the genres of  indie rock, folk, electronica, experimental... but remains loyal to none of those genres.  Great for a car ride, fun yet introspective.  I did the artwork by first painting the sky using acrylics, using a scrubby sponge for the hill, drew a few trees in marker, and picked some flowers from my mom's prized Azaleas. Forest Far is one of my personal favorites...

"Project Nairb" (2004) Apple Music - Spotify

The first Full Length Solo Album I ever made. This Indie Rock/Folky disc features a wide range of instrumentation, from acoustic and electric guitars to ukuleles, electronic and acoustic drums, xylophone, keys and synths.  It's an intimate recording, fun and lighthearted, but also introspective.  I did all the album art myself, by painting a sky with watercolors, ripping up various pieces of blue construction paper to create the water, and drawing a small island with a tree in marker.  I pasted it all together, scanned it and had it pressed up (thanks to J-Rod).   It was recorded entirely at home, on an ADAT HD24 with a 24 channel Tascam mixer that I wish I never sold, and mastered by my good friend DF.
