Environment Synths: Free Ableton Live Pack 153
Sometimes I find that digital recordings can sound sterile and empty. I find it nice to add atmospheric sounds in order to create the feeling that the listener is in an actual place. This free Ableton Live Pack takes that idea to a new level.
Mode Audio was kind enough to supply some samples from their field recordings collections. I took those sounds and added them to some synthesizer sounds of my own. I built 3 Instrument Racks that allow you to add natural environment sounds to the synth sounds. I also made 2 playable synths out of a bird song and a monastery bell.
You can watch the entire process in the video below. I live streamed the creation of the Pack. It's nice way to see my process and pick up on a couple of tips and techniques along the way.
I hope you enjoy the Pack! It's free to download and contains 5 Ableton Live Instrument Racks. You must have Live 9.7 Standard or Above to use it.
Please Tweet me links to any music you make with it!

In order to build these instruments, I used sounds from some of my Ableton Live Packs and Field Recordings from Mode Audio. Click on the icons below to learn more about each.
