Jakob Haq is a mobile musician from Sweden. He makes all of his music using either iOS or other portable devices, no computer! On his YouTube channel, haQ attaQ, Jakob shares his accumulated knowledge from over 25 years of music making. Jakob specializes in what he calls “Docu-torials” on new iOS apps and portable music making gear.

After crossing paths for years, I finally got a chance to speak with Jakob on the podcast. Jakob shares some tips on how he stays productive and avoids procrastination. He was very candid about his thoughts on the current state of mobile music making, Apple, and YouTube. Jakob addresses and raises some very important concerns about the direction of music making and the avenues we as creators have for reaching our audiences.

Some of Jakob’s video work…

It's time for the title bout! MOOG minimoog vs Model D. Hardware synth legend against it's software counterpart. Both made by one of the most beloved synthesizer manufacturers! So the question is apart from the obvious hardware and software aspect, how similar do they really sound? Can you hear the difference now?
Could this be my best mellow track so far? The name " Innan första flingan faller " is Swedish and means " before the first snowflake falls ". This time around I even upgraded my video making tool set with an application called " Magic Music Visuals "for Mac and PC.
Yup Apple sure loves grabbing our money and they love making dongles! Now I've been a hardcore Apple user for the past 6-7 years now. And during that time I've mainly been using iPad and iPhone to produce music, record and edit videos and I've even dabbled with some animation.
