Turning a Cheap Toy into Something Beautiful
I picked up a toy keyboard at a local dollar store. I got what I paid for! There are 3 different instruments and 3 drum sounds that come out of a terrible little speaker. On its own, it’s not very useful for music making. But once I sampled the sounds a put them into Ableton Live’s Sampler, magic started to happen!

A Wide Range of Sound
Thanks to the sampling capabilities of Ableton Live, and some of its built-in effects, I managed to build some Instrument Racks that sound pretty nice. I’m always amazed at what happens when you drop sounds into the Sampler, and even the cheapest, most useless keyboard I could find came out sounding like a winner!
