2 Minute Ableton Tip #28: The Chain Selector
Unlock a World of Possibilities with Ableton's Chain Selector
Ableton Live's device racks offer amazing customization possibilities. Users can build their own instrument and audio effects racks that can do some pretty incredible things. One of the key features is the Chain Selector. If you are unfamiliar with Chains within a device rack, check out this video. Each chain in a device rack is a path that the audio signal travels through. By default, all newly created chains receive audio and are heard all at once. The Chain Selector allows you to choose a particular chain or combinations of chains. This can be used to select between different instruments or effects. In my latest 2 Minute Ableton Live Tip, I show you how to use the chain selector to cycle between different soft synths all within a single device.
All Instruments in the Video Come from the MegaBrute Ableton Collection
