Dawn of the Dead SCI-FI STRINGS - Free Ableton Live Pack 172
SCI-FI STRINGS is an Ableton Live Pack of old science fiction film inspired synthesized string sounds. I'm a huge fan of those old synth-drenched science fiction movies. Sometimes the soundtracks are the best part of the movie. I wanted a collection of synthesized string sounds similar to those found in the old films, so I built SCI-FI STRINGS.
Free Ableton Live Pack 172: Dawn of the Dead SCI-FI STRINGS
I created a layered instrument using two sounds from SCI-FI STRINGS, and I want to give it to you today for free! All of the sounds in SCI-FI STRINGS are named after characters and terminology from old sci-fi films. This free layered instrument is called Dawn of the Dead SCI-FI STRINGS. It features two layers, Heaven and Hell. You can mix the two layers and pan them separately for a wide sound. You can also go inside each layer and alter the filtering, chorus, tremolo, and delay.
There is a lot of potential for a variety of different types of sounds, once you start manipulating the Macro Controls. I think you will enjoy the samples, which came from the Prophet 6 analog synthesizer, after it was run through a Roto-Vibe guitar pedal and a few VST audio effects. The sounds have a wonderful, glazed-over, vintage analog sound. Enjoy!
