I’ve set up a multi-chain Audio Effect Rack that allows to instantly add vocal harmonies to your vocals. Blend your harmonies to perfection with the Macro Controls.
Easy, One Button Vocoder!
Vocoder setup is easy.
The included BF Drift Vocoder Carrier Instrument Rack is designed to sound good with vocoded voices.
BF Drift Vocoder Carrier Instrument Rack is a simple Instrument Rack that sounds good with vocoded voices. Adjust the Macros to dial in the right “robot” voice for your track.
Simply place it on a MIDI track then go inside the BF Live Vocal Multi Effect Rack and navigate to the Vocoder device. Set the “Carrier” to External, then set “Audio From” to the MIDI track with the BF Drift Vocoder Carrier Instrument.
Set the Vocoder’s Carrier to “External” and set the “Audio From” to the MIDI Track you want to use with the Vocoder.
Turn the Vocoder On Macro to activate the Vocoder.
Mute and Record enable the MIDI Track with the BF Drift Vocoder Carrier.
Play MIDI notes and sing! Instant Robot Voice!
Tip for Ableton Push Users
Map the Vocoder On Macro to a button on a MIDI Controller. Map the same button to the MIDI Track containing the BF Drift Vocoder Carrier.
When you press the button, it will activate the Vocoder and select the MIDI track. Push will be ready to play the Vocoder.
