Super 8 Bit Ableton Live Pack is On Sale for August!

Many of my favorite synthesizer sounds are the ones that came off of primitive chips in old video game systems. There's a built in nostalgia for me. Nintendo was a major part of the soundtrack of my youth. So it's no surprise that one of my favorite creations is still the Super 8-Bit Ableton Live Pack. It's 150 Ableton Live Instrument and Effect Racks, made from samples of Nintendo, Gameboy, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis systems. It sounds like the real thing because it is the real thing. Read all about its creation and features here.

Last week I released the Special World Ableton Live Audio Effects Pack. It's fun collection of 16 Audio Effects inspired by the Special World Zone in Super Mario World. To celebrate that release, I'm putting the Super 8-Bit Ableton Live Pack on sale for just $8 (normally $15). 8 Bucks for 8 Bits in the 8th month of the year.

I'm certain you will love it. If not I'll give you your money back.

Check out the video for the Pack, and then listen to some music made entirely with instruments from the Super 8-Bit Ableton Live Pack.

Music Made Using Only the Super 8-Bit Ableton Live Pack

To help showcase what the Super 8-Bit Ableton Live Pack is capable of, I want to share some music made using only the sounds and effects from the download.

First is Tanner Woodworth's Gem Jams. This is pretty nice example of a more pure-chip-tunes use of the Pack. It shows how you can use these instruments to create authentic sounding 8-bit music. Tanner created some of the beautiful art for the Super 8-Bit Collection. Many thanks to Tanner for sharing this EP!

Next up is my own "Super 8-Bit EP." All 7 tracks are built using only the Super 8 Bit Ableton Live Pack (except the track with the vocals, which I sang). In this EP, I wanted to showcase the depth of the collection, so it's not just pure-chip tunes, but makes use of the power of Ableton Live and its instruments and effects. Enjoy!
