30 Ableton Live Instrument Racks built from samples recorded on a Sony Micro Cassette Recorder. I recorded voices, guitars, and synthesizers with the Micro Cassette Recorder and built instruments with those sounds in Ableton Live. The Micro Cassette Recorder severely impacts the fidelity of the recordings, which results in beautifully imperfect instruments.

The MICRO CASSETTE Ableton Live Pack is a collection of 30 instruments built from samples recorded on a Sony Micro Cassette Recorder. The recorder is about as lo-fi as it gets. Once the samples are placed in Ableton Live and combined with its effects, the instruments take on a special character difficult to emulate any other way.
To create the instruments, I sampled synths, guitar, piano, and voices. I placed the samples into Instrument Racks with a host of effects. The Macro Controls are arranged so that you can manipulate and customize each sound to fit perfectly in your tracks.
Every instrument of MICRO CASSETTE has Macro Controls for Filters, Arpeggiators, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, and Stutter Effects.
In the video below, you can hear the instruments in action. There are synths, keys, pads, leads, and more. I even found that the noises made by the buttons on the recorder produced interesting percussion sounds. The Pack includes a Drum Rack of these percussion sounds.
